Liturgy of the Word with Children (LOWC)

Helping Young Hearts Encounter God’s Word

LOWC is a special part of Sunday Mass for children aged 3–8.

After the greeting, the children are invited to a separate space where they hear the readings, Gospel, and a short gospel sharing. The focus is always on the message of the Gospel, all shared in an engaging, age-appropriate way using puppets, skits, visuals, and videos.

The children’s participation in such setting meets the Sunday obligation and they return to the church at Offertory to continue with the liturgy of the Eucharist.

We also celebrate joyful events throughout the year, including Children’s Day, Advent activities, Easter celebrations, and more!

Join the Ministry!

No experience or training is required — just a heart for helping children grow in faith. Whether you lead, assist, or help behind the scenes, you’ll make a lasting impact on the children who are present for the liturgy.

Many who volunteer find that sharing the Word with children also deepens their own faith and understanding.

Help us build a love for the Mass in our children. Come, be part of something meaningful.
