Calling for Fire Fighting & First Aid Volunteers

In compliance with the Fire Safety Act, the Church of the Holy Family is required to maintain a trained and rostered Church Emergency Response Team (CERT) for all Mass and major events. The safety of our parishioners is paramount, and our families who gather here deserve to be protected.

We are looking for physically able parishioners to step forward as Fire Fighting and First Aid volunteers. Relevant Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills. Your duties will include standby rostering, basic emergency response, and coordination with the SCDF in the event of an incident.

The CERT plays a critical role by conducting initial fire fighting and rescue operations, assisting the SCDF, and ensuring emergency preparedness.

Requirements:

• Physically able to administer emergency response/first aid.
